Prof. Dr. İzzet Sakallı, the Chair of Departments of Physics and Chemistry at the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Faculty of Arts and Sciences and, the Coordinator of the Academic Project – Research and Development Office, received ‘Outstanding Reviewer’ award third time in a row from the Canadian Journal of Physics published by the NRC Research Press, oldest academic publication organization of Canada.

Said journal was published in 1929 under the name of Canadian Journal of Research, then renamed in 1951 as the Canadian Journal of Physics. The Canadian Journal of Physics is a distinguished international scientific journal, recognized for its peer-reviewed content and its focus on publishing original research in the field of physics.

Since its establishment, it has been included in the Science Citation Index (SCI), one of the prominent scientific indexing services of its era, and today it is indexed under the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) category within the updated Web of Science database.

Prof. Dr. Sakallı’s achievement in earning this prestigious award for the third time in a row—and solely this time—underscores EMU’s solid standing in the global academic sphere, while also emphasizing the institution’s research output and the excellence of its academic personnel.
