ADJUSTING TO UNIVERSITY LIFE SEMINAR FROM EMU-PDRAM

Eastern Mediterranean University Psychological Counseling Guidance and Research Center (EMU-PDRAM) organized “Adjusting to University Life: How to Turn Challenges into Opportunities?" seminar for students on Monday, 28 March 2022 at 12:30 at EMU Mustafa Afşin Ersoy Hall. Delivered by EMU-PDRAM Specialist Psychologist Özlem Güler Erginsoylu, the seminar focused on the challenges that new students who are away from their country may encounter in adapting to university life and how they can cope with these difficulties. Students were also informed about the EMU-PDRAM webpage, contact information and how to get support from the center. EMU-PDRAM Specialist Psychologist Özlem Güler Erginsoylu stated that the center is always ready to provide support to the students.

Who is Özlem Güler Erginsoylu?

Currently working as a full-time Specialist Psychologist at the EMU-PDRAM, Özlem Güler Erginsoylu completed her undergraduate study at EMU Arts and Sciences Faculty, Psychology Department in 2011. While continuing her undergraduate study, Erginsoylu worked as a part-time student assistant at EMU-PDRAM between the years of 2009 and 2011. In 2012, she completed her postgraduate study in the field of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health in Sussex University. Erginsoylu, who worked as a research assistant in a research project examining parent-child interactions during her master's thesis studies, has been a member of the EMU-PDRAM staff since 2012. She completed International Schema Therapy Institute approved Schema Therapy Basic Level Trainings in 2013 and Solution-Oriented Therapist training and supervision in 2020. She is a member of Turkish Psychologists Association.
