MEANINGFUL ORGANISATION OF EMU PUBLIC RELATIONS AND ADVERTISING DEPARTMENT

A new social responsibility project has been introduced under the organisation of the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Communication Faculty, Public Relations and Advertising Department and the Community Involvement Center.

The event which was organised with the collaboration of the Genesis Agency operating under EMU Department of Public Relations and Advertising, EMU Faculty of Health Sciences and North Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent with the aim of raising awareness on the importance of blood donation in our country, was held between 21 – 25 March 2022 at EMU Atatürk Square (CL square) and Health Sciences Faculty.

During the event, held with the the North Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent's slogan "Donate Blood and Save Lives", both the medical teams and the blood donation coach that came to the campus ensured the blood donation process to be carried out in a sterile environment, thus allowing many sensitive people to donate blood easily. A total of 97 units of blood were donated with the support of EMU Communication Faculty Genesis Agency students and North Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent officials.
