“Boundaries and Pressure in Workplace: Psychological Violence - Mobbing” Workshop Held in Collaboration with EMU-PDRAM and EMU-CEC

Eastern Mediterranean University Psychological Counselling, Guidance and Research Center (EMU-PDRAM) North Campus Office and EMU Continuous Education Center (Emu-CEC) co-organized a workshop titled “İş Yaşamında Sınırlar ve Sinirler: Psikolojik Şiddet-Mobbing / Boundaries and Pressure in Workplace: Psychological Violence - Mobbing” for the Büro-İş Union. The workshop took place on 19 June 2025 at the Cyprus Turkish Sports Writers Association Hall in Nicosia.

 

The workshop was conducted by EMU-PDRAM North Campus psychologists Dr. Psychologist Fatoş Özeylem and Specialist Psychologist Haşim Haşimoğulları. The training session covered issues including stress and healthy coping mechanisms in educational and professional settings, effective communication skills, psychological violence (mobbing), digital mobbing, gas lighting, and strategies to manage these forms of psychological abuse. Participants were actively involved through a combination of informative sessions and collaborative group work.

 

Emphasizing that workplace psychological violence is a critical social problem affecting mental health, Dr. Psychologist Fatoş Özeylem and Specialist Psychologist Haşim Haşimoğulları from EMU-PDRAM North Campus also reported receiving positive feedback from participants, reflecting the workshop’s effectiveness and value.
